Jessee & Amber {Wedding}

Jessee and Amber are two very special friends of mine. I was honored to capture their big day on August 14th at the Allandale Mansion. I couldn’t have asked for a better day as both of their families welcomed me just as I was one of them. The weather turned out to be perfect. We had just a tad bit of rain right before we starting to do the pictures but that was it. Jessee and Amber chose to do a first look so we could capture as many pictures before the ceremony as possible. It was a lot of fun as I watched Jessee’s face when Amber started to walk up behind him. As soon as they saw each other you could tell right away the love they have for each other by their eyes and emotions.

There outdoor ceremony couldn’t have been any prettier. The colors they chose turned out to be perfect to make things really pop. One of my favorite things about the day though was the grooms cake. It was a big Tennessee helmet. If you know me at all then you know I’m a true Vols fan. I really hated to see them cut it.

Overall the wedding day was wonderful. Amber looked beautiful in her wedding dress and I know that Jessee couldn’t be any happier. I’d like to say thanks again to this wonderful couple that allowed me to capture their special day. I pray an abundance of blessings on your marriage for many years to come.

Jazmine V. {High Fashion/Model}

I knew from the moment that Jazmine contacted me that she was going to be so much fun to work with. I looked through some of her older pictures that she had taken in the past and could tell right away that she was very photogenic. Not only is she a pretty young lady on the outside, but has a wonderful and fun personality. We met up at the studio to start her session. We jammed to some Def Leopard as she posed it up while I snapped away. We then headed outside to grab some pictures on the railroad tracks and some urban style pictures. We had taken lots of pictures and was getting ready to call it a wrap until we spotted a neat little cutout in the wall behind my studio. I asked her if she minded to stand in the small opening and she instantly said yes. This made for some excellent pictures, and it was pretty neat as cars would slow down as they drove by to check out the action.

Below are just a few shots we were able to capture. Thanks so much again Jazmine for a wonderful time on your session. Also a special thanks to her mom who was a huge help during the shoot. I look forward to working with you again in the future.

Breyanna B. {J.I. Burton Senior Rep} First Session

If you’re a frequent visitor to the blog then you’ll recognize Breyanna right away. I recently had a model session with her a few months back. If you haven’t seen those pictures, you can view them here. Breyanna is a Senior at J.I. Burton High School and also a Senior Rep for Brad Lovell Photography. We recently traveled to Bristol for her first session. We started out at South Holston Dam and was able to capture some great pictures. We were hoping to get some with her in the water, but it was just a tad bit cold from what I was told LOL. We then headed out to State Street for some more classy shots. Breyanna had a beautiful blue dress for these and we had a great time. It was fun watching as lots of spectators stopped and watched as we shot her session. One thing that made this session so much fun was having her mom and sister with us. We wrapped the evening up with dinner at Outback. I’m not sure I had laughed that much in a long time. We had an awesome time without a doubt. Below are some of the pictures we were able to capture. Be sure to check back soon as we’re in the process of finalizing a date for Breyanna’s 2nd session which will be an urban look.

Out Of Office Notice

The long, awaited time for vacation has finally come!!! I’m really looking forward to spending the week at the beach with my family and getting some rest. The past 2 months have been incredible, but very busy. I’m very excited about fall coming up and have a lot of sessions booked, so I’m going to give my body and mind a break so I can be prepared to rock your session!! See you guys in a week!

Seth & Laura {Wedding}

First, I have to say that this was a huge honor for me to capture this beautiful wedding. I’ve known Laura pretty much my whole life and you just can’t ask for a better person or family. I also found out just how special Seth’s family is throughout the whole wedding day. Both families welcomed me with open arms and we all had a blast.

I don’t think this wonderful couple could’ve picked a better venue for their special day. The Meadowview Convention Center was perfect, and the scenery is beautiful. We started the day out on the golf course with the guys and then headed over to the salon to meet up with the ladies. Everyone was having a great time, and laughing as I captured these memories. I could tell right away that everyone was very close to each other and each had their own special connection. Although the weather was extremely hot the entire day, everyone done their part to make this day special.

Laura has always been a beautiful young lady, but she looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress. After a wonderful ceremony, everyone headed to the reception where we all had so much fun. DJ Freddie Bradley brought down the house as he normally does with the best songs.  I would like to thank Seth & Laura personally for allowing me to capture their wedding day. I pray that God will bless your marriage for many years to come. Also a very special thanks to all the family for all the hospitality. I couldn’t have asked for a better day!

Venue: Meadowview Convention Center

Second Shooters: Ashley Addison and Melody Lovell

Aaron C. {2011 J.J. Kelly Senior Rep}

Aaron is an upcoming senior at J.J. Kelly High School and is an avid sports player. I met Aaron after his mom approached me for some basketball pictures. When we met for Aaron’s consultation I could tell right away that one of his favorite things to do was play basketball. I had watched him play a couple of times, and let me tell you, he’s got some skill. During the consultation I started asking Aaron what else he really enjoyed. I could tell he was a laid back young man, but one thing that really struck me was when he said he enjoyed dressing up nicely. I asked him if he would want to do some pictures in a suit and he instantly agreed. It was at this point I knew he was going to rock his session.

We met at the University of Virginia College at Wise for his session and started out in the gym. We got some killer shots of Aaron in his basketball uniform as he showed off his skills. We then headed out on campus for some casual shots. We then wrapped up Aaron’s session when he rocked out his pin striped black suit and shades. I couldn’t have asked for a better session with a great young man who has a lot going for him. It was also a privilege to have Aaron’s sister along on the shoot. She recently picked up her first digital camera and was able to get some great shots during the shoot as well.

Aaron, I wish you the best of luck during your senior year and for what the future holds for you. I’d like to thank you again for being a senior rep for Brad Lovell Photography. I know that you’ll succeed at whatever you put your mind to.

Jessee & Amber {Engagement}

I met Jessee and Amber a few years ago through some friends of mine from the Tri-Citites. Since we met we’ve had a lot of good times on the lake. I was so excited when they approached me to photograph their wedding and engagement pictures. What made this even more special was when they told me they wanted to come to the mountains to do shoot their engagement session. We started out in the hay field in Big Stone gap with the hay bails. The session started out pretty interesting. As we approached the first bail of hay Jessee spotted a black snake. Here I am ready to jump back and move right along, and Amber is messing with it. This is the point I realized we were gonna have a blast during their session. After we wrapped up in the fields, we all headed up to High Knob. This was the first time they had ever been here and they probably would’ve stayed for hours if I had let them. Needless to say, we had an awesome time and captured some great memories. Their wedding is just a couple weeks away, and I’m looking forward to another wonderful day.

Jordan & Kelli {Engagement Session}

I met Jordan a couple years ago while at a friends house playing Xbox. He’s got an awesome voice and is actually one of the members of Folk Soul Revival. A few months back his fiance Kelli called me to arrange a wedding consultation. As soon as I met her I knew that these two were the perfect fit for each other. Although their wedding isn’t until 2011, they wanted to go ahead and get their engagement session in. A couple weeks ago I headed down to Lee Co. to meet up for their session. We arrived at some of Jordan’s family to start the day on a very nice pond. He already had a canoe lined up for them to use and it made for some amazing pictures. I actually ended up in the canoe as they set on the dock so I could get a lot of shots at different angles.

After we finished up at the pond we traveled over to Kelli’s farm and had an absolute blast. The scenery there was perfect and a perfect place to capture some wonderful memories. One of the highlights of the farm was an old barn that had been there for years. You should of seen all of us trying to get up in the loft. Jordan & Kelli are definitely adventurous, and they were game for anything. I had such a wonderful time with this couple and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding. Below are just some of the images we were able to capture from the day.

Jax S. {Portrait Session}

Oh what fun I had with little Jax during his session. His mother asked me the day of his session if I was ready to chase him around. Well, she was definitely correct with that one. I did get a workout, but had a blast doing so. We started out using the car and chair that they brought for props and then I got the big giraffe out for Jax to use. It turned out for some great pics, but then he wanted to find the ‘cat’ as he called it after we had to hide it. I couldn’t have asked for a better time with such a precious little boy. We’ll be doing a second session with Jax soon since it rained on us this day. So be sure and check back soon to see this lil man again.

Jayce & Family {Portrait Session}

A couple weeks ago I had the privilege to photograph one little handsome young man. Please allow me to introduce you to Jayce and his family. This little one was so much fun. He did so good as we captured his pictures. All it took was playing a little peek-a-boo with him to get him to show us that beautiful smile. You’ll be seeing more of Jayce on the blog very soon. This was one of the two sessions I’ll be having with him. The next stop is outdoors at a really neat location with a very special treat. Stay tuned for session two coming soon.

July 19, 2010 - 9:18 pm Brianne C. - All of the pics are amazing of entire Coleman/Smith family....but I think my favorite is the one of Taylor and Elijah together! Such a great picture!!!
