If there’s one thing I’m a believer in, you’ll see this young lady singing for thousands very soon. Brooklyhn is a very talented young lady and on her way to Nashville for her singing career. She sang just a little bit for me at her session and I was blown away with her voice. I really hope she makes it big, because she definitely deserves it. Brooklyhn and I shot a few weeks ago to capture some new head shots for her and to add some new shots to her portfolio for her website. We’re planning on shooting often to keep her site updated with new images. I’m excited for this as she was a blast to work with. Hopefully one day I’ll be shooting the cover for her new CD

Alex M. {Portfolio/Fashion}
A couple weeks ago Alex came to the studio for her shoot. This is the first time the two of us have worked together and I was so proud how Alex did. She adapted to the camera very quickly and had a blast. After we finished up in the studio we headed outside for a little bit and shot. It wasn’t the warmest but we certainly braved it and got some great shots. I’m set to shoot again with Alex again this summer on the lake. I’m already looking forward to another great session.

Hartsock Family Session
A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to work with one of the greatest families I’ve ever worked with over the past couple years. Please let me introduce you to the Hartsock family. The whole time I was shooting with them there was just this joyful feeling on the inside of me. Even after we finished and they left, I just couldn’t quit smiling. All three of them were so humble and you could feel the love they had for one another the entire time. It’s like I had known them for years and as if I was part of their family. We laughed, smiled, and had an incredible time the entire evening. This was one of those shoots that you just don’t want to end. I think about it all the time about how much I enjoy my job, but it’s shoots like this that remind me how blessed I really am. Thanks again guys for such a wonderful time.
Taylor H. {2012 Senior}
What better way to start off the blog in 2012 than with the lovely Taylor, upcoming 2012 senior. I’ve got to know Taylor over the past couple of years and you just can’t ask for a better young lady. She’s one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met and just as pretty on the inside as she is the out. I don’t think there’s been a day that I’ve seen Taylor that she’s failed to speak and is always wearing a smile. A couple of weeks ago Taylor, her mother, and I headed out to the old Johnson City area for her first senior session. We’ll be shooting again in the Spring. The three of us had a great time. The day was filled with laughs, smiles, and even a little singing and dancing. Taylor is a natural when it comes to being in front of the camera. She made my job as easy as it gets. We wrapped up by going to my favorite restaurant Outback. A special thanks to Haley King from Traci’s Salon for doing an outstanding job with hair and make up.

ESPN.com Shoot with Miss VA Teen USA
A couple weeks ago I met up with Miss VA Teen USA Elizabeth Coakley and her wonderful family to shoot for the ESPN website. They had contacted her to run a story on pageant girls who play softball. I was honored that they asked me to do these pictures and we had a wonderful time. It was short notice for all of us, but we all pulled through and captured some fun shots. About a week ago the story was run on the main page of the ESPN High School website, and I really enjoyed the article. Thanks again to the Coakley’s for a wonderful evening.
January 5, 2012 - 11:47 pm - Hi, Brad It's actually pretty photos.Looks very fluently. Nice to see everything Thanks
Elijah & Kaylee
It’s extremely rare that I can get my son to do pictures for me. He’s just like me, doesn’t like to have him picture taken. However, when I catch him in the right mood he does a fantastic job. My mom asked me a couple of weeks ago to take him and my niece Kaylee out to do some pictures for Christmas. We had the best little time and the two of them did a fantastic job. I just wanted to share a few shots from the small session we did.
Erica W. {Fashion}
I met Erica a couple months back at another shoot I was doing. I instantly knew I wanted to shoot with her then, so not long after the two of us started discussing ideas. We wanted to go with something a little more edgy and also go for some fashion looks. A few weeks ago we met up with HMUA Lora Abate from Team Shear Obsession and had an awesome shoot. The lighting was perfect while we were outside then we wrapped things up indoors. I had a wonderful time working with Erica and can’t wait to shoot with her again.
